Lisa Coulter So far my experience with Bucklands has been great. Being completely new to teaching, the whole experience was slightly daunting to begin with. However, from the moment I arrived at the Bucklands International office, the team were extremely informative, helpful and friendly. The inclusion of an induction week was one of the main things that drew me to Bucklands in the first place and it proved to be extremely valuable. A variety of essential information is covered during the week, including lots of useful information about living in China. At the moment I am living with my boyfriend in a wonderful 3 bedroom apartment that we have to ourselves. We are both delighted with the school we have been placed at and are very excited to embark on our new adventure !

Craig welker I found Buckland through a Google search. Buckland placed me at a school in Tongzi which is a relatively small county in China. Even though it’s small, I really enjoy staying there. The people are very nice to me and it’s not too difficult to get to other cities to spend the weekend.

Buckland and the people working at the school have helped me so much bye figuring out the paperwork and getting me an apartment. I don’t know how I would’ve done either of those things on my own. So far my experience has been pretty great and I have no complaints. Thanks a lot !

Craig welker My experience working with Buckland as a foreign teacher in China has been a very positive one. I discovered Buckland on their website, and decided that working with them was the right decision for me. Not being able to speak Mandarin myself, I found that having Buckland there, able to advocate on my behalf, really provided some peace of mind. Ive signed up for a year long contract, and split my time evenly living in the Guizhou and Hunan provences. I worked between 13 to 20 classes a week, each class being 40 minutes long. I found the work to be relatively simple (most schools follow a text book that allows you create lessons modeled after each unit), while also being incredibly rewarding. If you're a first time visitor to China, working with a company like Buckland can really help ease any potential troublesyou may experience. All in all I would recomend teaching in China based on the experience I've had here over the last year. It can really provide a unique perspective if you go into it with an open mind."

Initially, I was very nervous about moving to China. Being across the world from everything you know is a little intimidating. But, after 7 months of living here, I know I made the right decision to come here. An Enjoyable Experience in Hunan , China ( Kelsey (USA) / Liuyang No. 1 Middle School, Hunan Province )

The school looks more like a university than a middle school and this is because it is two schools with a lot of space between them. The school closest to the foreign apartment is the Science school and has seniors 1-3 as well as their dorms. It is a 15 minute walk to the other school which houses the Senior Art students and the juniors. Each class has between 45-55 students ...( Click, browse all of them... )

Successful Adventures in China ( Danni (USA) / Yong’an, Hunan Province )

I’ve travelled to many different countries and have volunteered and taught in a few of them and my experience in China has far exceeded my expectations. The staff at the school has been so inviting and helpful to me, the workload is light, and the students are great!
