Buckland's foreign teachers took part in the charity show
Aug 2012, "One Foreign Teacher to One Chinese School" Pairing program was launched in Gaoyao, Guangdong. (Guangdong)
Buckland teachers attended the ceremony. Guangdong Gaoyao TV Station reports: Mr. Owen and other administrators of the Omeca International Exchange Association paid a visit to Gaoyao city for the implementation of the "One Foreign Teacher One School" Pairing Program.

May 2011, The 18th anniversary celebration for Mr. Owen's English Education Movement in Yangshuo. (Yangshuo)
In 1993, Owen founded the very first English school in Yangshuo. In the past 18 years, Owen's English education movement focusing on practical English and business English has deeply influenced Yangshuo's development on becoming China's biggest English corner and international village. This year in May, the Buckland Group is going to hold a party to celebrate Mr. Owen's and Buckland's accomplishments from the past 18 years. The Buckland Group is sincerely inviting all government officers, school administrators, previous Buckland students, and foreign teachers to join the party.
March 11, 2011 The Establishment of the Culture Exchange Program between Seattle Community College & Buckland Group (Yangshuo)
After half a year of correspondence and preparation, a cooperation agreement between the Seattle Community College District and the Buckland Group was reached by Buckland's CEO Mr. Owen and Dr. Andrea, the representative from Seattle Community College. According to the agreement, Seattle Community College will send about 15 American students semi-annually (starting in February 2012) to participate in Buckland's Culture Exchange - Teaching Program, while the Buckland Group will promote Seattle Community College among Bucklands franchised Chinese high schools.
Feb 15, 2011 Buckland Omeca College holds a Chinese Chess training class for foreigners (Yangshuo)
The Buckland Omeca College is devoted to improving the cultural exchange between Chinese people and foreigners. Through frequently organizing special classes such as Chinese Chess, calligraphy, painting and cooking, the Buckland Omeca College helps foreigners learn Mandarin and Chinese culture in a fun and rewarding way.
Feb 11, 2011 46th - 48th Foreign Teacher Orientation Programs (Yangshuo)
Three new batches of about 43 new foreign teachers from the US A, Canada, UK, Australia, and Poland spent over a week in Yangshuo for Buckland's Orientation Programs. After training, they were sent to a total of 25 different schools in 8 provinces. 9 of the trainees received their TESOL certification from Buckland Group.
Jan, 2011 International Family Exchange Program launching (Guilin)
In order to provide authentic language learning experiences to Chinese students and foreign students, as well as to improve the culture exchange between Chinese families and western families, the Buckland Group launched its International Family Exchange Program in January. This program assists Chinese students who study abroad to arrange a home stay with local western families, and places native, English-speaking tutors among Chinese families in China.

Oct 29 - 30, 2010 Mr. Owen attends China's 2010 conference on the International Exchange of Professions (Shenzhen)
This conference was held by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and took place in the city of Shenzhen. The purpose of this conference is to further the employment of the foreign experts in China and enhance the cooperation between the institutes of China and other developed countries. As an important cultural exchange institute in China, Buckland's CEO Owen was naturally invited to attend.
Aug 21 - Sept 17, 2010 43rd - 45th Foreign Teacher Orientation Programs (Yangshuo)
Three groups of about 50 new foreign teachers from USA, Canada, UK, Australia and South Africa arrived in China starting in Agu., thereafter receiving a one week orientation course in Yangshuo with Buckland Group. These trainees received training and orientation on Chinese culture, China's education system, Chinese students profile, TESOL foundation, lesson planning and classroom management. After a two-day teaching practice and one-on-one school placement consulting during the orientation, they were then sent to different teaching sites in 5 provinces across China. 12 of the trainees received their TESOL certification from Buckland Group.
July 12 - 22, 2010 Bilingual Education Administration and Management Seminar (Yangshuo)
A group of 10 administrators from Chengdu Bilingual Experimental School came down to Yangshuo for this 10-day seminar on bilingual education administration and management. Owen, the CEO of Buckland Group, Mr. Ying, the Director of China's Bilingual Education Research Center, as well as Buckland's Foreign Expert Patrick gave speeches at this seminar. Chengdu Bilingual Experimental School's 15th Bilingual Education Research Proposal Opening Ceremony was also held during this seminar.

June - July, 2010 28th & 29th Bilingual Teacher Training Programs (Yangshuo)
Two groups of total 32 Chinese teachers from Chengdu Bilingual Experimental Schools attended China's Bilingual Education Research Institute's Bilingual Teacher Training Programs held by Buckland Group. Among those Chinese teachers, 10 of them are English subject teachers, and the rest of them are specific subject teachers such as math, music, PE, phsics, chemical and art.
This one-month training program aims on improving Chinese teachers bilingual education professionalism from three aspects: public English, specific subject English and Bilingual education theory and practice. Six Bilingual education experts and foreign teacher trainers from Buckland formed the trainer team.
April, 2010 Bilingual Education Experimental Program Launching Ceremony in three Chinese middle schools. (Guizhou, Chengdu, Shaanxi)
On April 12, 15 and 28, three more Chinese schools held their ceremony for joining Buckland's Bilingual Education Experimental Program and became Buckland's franchised schools. These three schools are Yuqing Middle School in Guizhou province, Chengdu Bilingual Experimental School in Sichuan province, and Yaoshan Middle School in Shaanxi province.
As an agreement, Buckland will provide these schools with foreign experts on English teaching and teacher training, bilingual curriculum, foreign affair administration training and assistance on forging an English rich learning environment on campus.
Feb 22 - Mar 5, 2010 Introduce and train a new group of foreign teachers
About 20 new foreign teachers from USA, Canada, and UK arrived in China starting on February 22, thereafter receiving a one-week orientation course in Yangshuo with Buckland Group. They were then sent to different teaching sites in 5 provinces across China, experiencing new life.
Feb 27 - 28, 2010 19th Foreign Affair Officer Training Program
On February 27 and 28, 2010 Principles, foreign affair officers and Chinese English teachers from Buckland franchised schools of Hunan, Shaanxi, Guizhou etc. participated in this three day training course which delivers lectures and group discussions on five aspects, including foreign affair legislation, foreign teacher supervising, solutions for conflicts, cross-culture understanding and communication, teaching and extra-curriculum activity management. It helps them to understand foreign affairs better.
