Qualifications

1.Native English speakers, preferably from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, or New Zealand
2.Bachelor degree
3.2 years working experience (preferably education related)
4.TESOL/TEFL certificate preferred
5.Under the age of 60

Position: Teacher Trainee

Responsibilities
Buckland positions require a maximum of 15-20 teaching hours per week delivered to students. Some schools also require that you participate in English corner (open talking and games) for two hours per week in the evenings. You may also occasionally be asked to join in special celebrations and promotional activities.

Contract Benefits
1. After tax monthly salary:
1)For oral English teachers: depending on the school location, 4000 to 5500 RMB within 15-20 teaching hours per week from Monday to Friday. 100 Yuan for per extra hour.
2)For Teacher Trainees: depending on the school location, 2500 to 3500 RMB within 15-20 teaching hours per week from Monday to Friday. 100 Yuan for per extra hour.
2. International Airfare allowance: 4000 to 10000 RMB, depending on the contract length (4000 for half school year contract, 8000-10000 for one school year.) Reimbursed at the completion of contract
3. 2200 RMB travel bonus for completion of full academic year contract
4. Up to 200 RMB per month utilities allowance
5. Up to 15days consecutive paid sick leave with note from doctor
6. Paid public holidays

8. Minor medical treatment is provided free of charge in the school clinic as provided to local Chinese teachers
9. Free Chinese language classes
10. Free TEFL training and Orientation which covers awareness and preparation for culture shock and possible problems. (Free accommodation is provided during the orientation and training in Yangshuo)
11. Residence Permit and Visa update expenses covered
12. Free use of bicycle
13. Also, for Teacher Trainees, free TESOL Certificate issued upon completion of all your teaching hours in your contract (minimum 5 month contract)

Food
Most schools have a cafeteria which is usually free for employees. Some may charge 3-5 RMB per meal. Meals outside the school normally run from 5-10 RMB per person. Prices vary widely by locations. Your salary allotment takes this into account.
You will also have a kitchen in your apartment which will allow you to cook for yourself.
You are likely to find that students and their parents, and also other teachers will often invite you to their homes for meals.
